Woodhall Park is a privately owned Nursing Home providing both permanent and respite care for those who are 40 years and older. We are duel registered which enables us to accommodate both residential and nursing care needs.
The home aims to create a secure, relaxed, happy and homely environment, treating each resident as a valued individual. Residents are treated with dignity and respect; their family and friends are always made welcome and encouraged to visit.
We are extremely proud of the very high reputation we have achieved at Woodhall Park.
The home was purpose built in 1988 by the proprietor Mrs Crosbie who works closely with the Managers, Claire Andrews and Ame Davis to ensure residents live in a safe, comfortable and homely environment.
We have a dedicated team of qualified and highly experienced staff caring for our residents.
Many of our staff have been with us for over ten years and have a wealth of knowledge in caring for those with multiple, complex needs including Dementia, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neuron Disease, Huntington's Disease.
Managers, Claire and Ame have been working together as Registered Managers since 2014.
Claire first started in 2006 as a care assistant and progressed in her role over the years achieving a Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care in 2016. Ame joined the team in 2013 when she qualified as a Registered Nurse.
All of our senior carers have achieved NVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care and our other care staff have a NVQ 2 or are working towards it.
We have a qualified first-aider on shift at all times and a typical shift consists of 2 x Registered Nurses, 8 care staff in the morning, 7 care staff in the afternoon with a senior staff member on shift at all times, activities staff and our domestic team. On a night shift there is 1 x Registered Nurse and 3 care staff.
As a team, we are passionate about the End of Life Care we provide. If you have an illness that cannot be cured, palliative care will make you as comfortable as possible, by managing your pain and other distressing symptoms. It also involves psychological, social and spiritual support for you and your family or carers.
"I just wanted to say what a pleasure it was to come to your nursing home and deliver the syringe driver refresher training. Yourself and your staff were so knowledgeable and it was so refreshing to come to somewhere that take such pride in the end of life care they deliver! You should be so proud"
